The European Conference on Education and Sustainable Development, brought together ministers, European policymakers, representatives of major international organisations and leading academic institutions from across Europe. Among the participants were representatives from the Ministries of Education of Cyprus and Albania, the European Commission (DG Education and Culture), UNECE, UNESCO and the European Training Foundation - key actors shaping European educational policy, sustainability strategies and future funding priorities. Today we had the opportunity to interview inspiring voices from across Europe. 

Following the screening of the films “When the Swallows Fall Silent” and “Milk–Rose” on March 26, 2026, at Stadtkino in Vienna, within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026, we would like to provide a brief evaluation of the event.

As part of the cultural programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026, two acclaimed Cypriot films will be screened in Vienna at Stadtkino Cinema on March 26, 2026.

Our documentary When the Swallows Fall Silent continues its international journey. Proud to announce that is Official selection in competition at LAGFF DOC 2026, as part of the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival. The screening will take place on January 31, 2026, in Los Angeles, marking an important milestone in the film’s international path. Participation in one of the most significant festivals dedicated to Greek and Greek-diaspora cinema highlights the growing global resonance of the film.

We had an excellent meeting with François-Xavier Bellamy, the European Parliament’s Rapporteur on the Missing Persons of Cyprus, and we are truly grateful for his warm and thoughtful response.
